A word from the owner
André "Didi" is originally from the Aravis region. In 2000, I decided to build a bioclimatic chalet on my grandfather’s land. The log chalet, a childhood dream, was built in the summer of 2004. The exterior respects the traditional habitat of the Manigod valley, but the interior is very spacious, with a 110m2 living room. The Kookaboora chalet is my main residence. The winter rental began in 2006, because I’ve been working at La Grave-La Meije in the Hautes-Alpes since 1993, where I created the Snowlegend freeride courses. Since the age of 20, I’ve been travelling the globe to practice sports : freeride skiing, snowboarding, telemark skiing, mountain e-biking, golf, hiking, surfing, kayaking... I’m passionate about the world’s cultures, which explains the decorations from the four corners of this magnificent planet, and I also love DIY. With tips on the best addresses and services, I hope you enjoy your stay at Chalet Kookaboora, an ecologically designed place nestled in the heart of the mountains. What a delight!
